Description

From city streets to adventurous off-roading, few cars are this capable straight off the factory floor. The Ford Everest has 8 variants. The height ranges from 1841mm to 1904mm, the width ranges from 1923mm to 1954mm and length is between 4914mm and 4940mm. It uses Ford’s 2,0-litre twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with 154 kW and 500 Nm that’s sent to the rear wheels in normal everyday driving. The Everest also uses Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission, which is perfectly matched to the motor. Despite its altogether chunkier appearance and sheer size, there’s very little discernible noise from the powertrain or even from outside the vehicle at the national speed limit. The chunkier profile tyres on the Sport’s wheels helped absorb the imperfections of the asphalt no doubt, but it must also be said that the Everest seems rather well-sprung for the usual driving duties of commuting and school runs.
